Susurrous Monastery is the sanctuary of the Order of the Whispering Stones. Their monastic devotions maintain the subtle balance of the Veilgarden itself.
Each morning, the monk Sprechen, performs his Contemplations.
His words are spoken softly, drifting across the stones like wind across water. They are not prayers in the ordinary sense, but reminders — gentle instructions spoken to the Veilgarden itself so the Veil remembers how it is meant to unfold. The melodies drift across the stones like wind across water — and sometimes, if one listens closely enough, the stones whisper in return.
For the Veilgarden is the place where the forgotten springs to life and stars bloom worlds.
But even a world of quiet miracles sometimes needs to be reminded of its shape.
And so Sprechen whispers.
