Red is a simple man with simple needs. Everything changes when he is whisked away into this strange new world full of technicolor visions and whimsical characters. In one of the Veilgarden’s more unruly realms, a red hawk fixes the viewer with a gaze that is equal parts judgment, patience, and dry amusement.
He sits in The Stillness like a sovereign in the midst of wild abundance: cantankerous, observant, and wholly unconvinced that anyone else is managing things correctly. Coffee in hand, he presides over the flowering chaos with the energy of someone who did not ask to be transformed, but will tolerate it.
Red observes impassively — and somewhere below, the Gardener tends the flowers while the Warden keeps watch as the forgotten springs life and stars bloom worlds.
