Persephone stands in the tender ache of return, called back to her mother, to spring, to blooming earth, yet still haunted by the quiet beauty of what she left behind. She misses not only the underworld itself, but the unexpected kindness of Hades, who in this telling is not a tyrant, but a misunderstood keeper of shadowed places.
Her sorrow is not born of captivity, but of change. To leave one realm is to grieve another. To return is not always to arrive unchanged.
This transformation shifts the fabric of the realm where the forgotten springs life and stars bloom worlds.
